As Business Growth Director, Helen is responsible for determining the route by which Wates Residential takes its ambitious growth plans forward. This incorporates working with public sector bodies to be their partner of choice, to deliver more affordable homes and social value for communities by way of upholding the highest of placemaking principles, focusing on stakeholder inclusion and creating quality environments for people to live in and thrive.
Helen’s remit is to cement a pipeline that enables the business to invest, design, build and sell new homes, whilst also maximising the provision of affordable homes in the schemes Wates Residential delivers. As part of this process, she ensures that sustainability is considered in design at the outset to best address environmental needs and to make better places for tomorrow.
Recognising its significant beneficial effects to confidence and self-worth, Helen is passionate about giving young people in business the opportunity to develop their skills and experience through training and apprenticeships to foster early careers.
