A new report by The Housing Forum | The Cost of Building a House
The high inflation seen over the last few years has had a particularly severe effect on construction and is having a long-term impact on costs, with delays and uncertainty in the planning system exacerbating the issue.  We therefore pulled together data from across our membership base and this has come together as a new report: The Cost of Building a House.
Government would need to need to deliver 450,000 homes in a year by 2029 to meet 1.5 million homes target.
A new report out today has projected that, in order to meet its target of 1.5 million homes in the current Parliament, the government will need to deliver 450,000 homes in its final year.
