Nicky is a chartered town planner with over 35 years’ experience including as a Chief Planning Officer. As well as being POS’s Housing Specialist and Communications Manager she also consultancy support to local authorities. Her experience includes planning and transport policy, economic development, partnership working and community engagement, as well as developing investment plans. She has operated at the regional, sub-regional, unitary, London borough and district levels. Nicky has been a consultant planning inspector, provides a range of support to local authorities including on local plan development. She has previously acted as chair of a national working group on housing requirements, was the Interim Director of Planning for the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation during its set up phase, and until recently a Design Council Built Environment Expert. She is currently a member of the RTPI’s General Assembly and Policy Practice and Research Committee.
