Company profile:
Newlon Housing Trust is a not for profit Community Benefit Society and a charitable housing association. Newlon owns or manages more than 8,000 affordable homes, primarily in nine boroughs in north and east London, with many more in development. These homes are made up of a mix of affordable tenures and we provide housing for people nominated from local authority waiting lists, specialised accommodation for Key Workers and Shared Ownership homes to help people take their first step on the property ladder. In recent years we have delivered some of London’s and Europe’s largest regeneration projects, including being partners in the Arsenal Regeneration Programme and at Hale Village in Tottenham Hale.
We are a diverse organisation committed to supporting the communities we serve and we are proud that nearly 20% of our staff are also Newlon residents.
Newlon is the parent of a small Group, the Newlon Group, which includes Outward, our specialist care and support subsidiary.
Working in partnership with Outward we provide housing for people with a wide range of support and care needs and services for more than 1,400 vulnerable adults each day.
Why we joined The Housing Forum:
We joined The Housing Forum because we wanted to be part of a network of organisations involved with the design and delivery of affordable housing. The Forum draws together a very influential membership from across the housing industry, providing a series of ready-made networking opportunities, which we have taken advantage of in the past and will be able to contribute to and be part of in the future.
