Government have put out a few key consultations lately, of interest to the housing sector. We have summarised the main ones that we’ll be responding to on behalf of our members.
There are three separate consultations all now out on the Future Homes Standard. Firstly on the Future Homes Standard itself and also parallel consultations on a replacement to the SAP methodology and on the Home Energy Model used to assess compliance with the Future Homes Standard. Input into Housing Forum response by 5 February, consultation closes on 6 March.
There’s a consultation on heat network zoning. Input into Housing Forum response by 5 February, consultation closes on 26 February.
There’s a consultation on ground rents for existing leasehold properties. Input into Housing Forum response by 10 January, consultation closes on 17 January.
And lastly, the APPG for Council Housing want to know about the need for council housing and barriers to delivery. If you have evidence on either of these points, please send it to us by 15 January.
