Hawkins\Brown has a wide range of experience in the residential sector, with clients that range from private individuals and housebuilders to local authorities and major housing associations. The practice’s ongoing regeneration of the St John’s Hill Estate in Clapham for Peabody has won multiple awards, including Development of the Year at the Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2017. Hawkins\Brown was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2013 for the regeneration of the Grade II listed Park Hill housing estate in Sheffield.
With 493 Homes across a range of tenures including social rent, Hawkins\Brown’s masterplan at Agar Grove for Camden Council is the largest PassivHaus development on-site in the UK. At East Village in The London Olympic Park, Hawkins\Brown is building 524 new build-to-rent homes for Get Living London in an innovative new typology developed for long-term renting. Tiger Way, an innovative mixed-use development delivers 89 high quality private-sale residential apartments that have provided cross-subsidy for a new primary school and nursery for the Borough of Hackney co-located on the site.
