Local Councils Practitioner Panels are a workstream from The Housing Forum for local councils to help accelerate building plans, strengthen housing construction industry knowledge and support council delivery through both direct commissioning and partnerships.
The Housing Forum’s purpose is to encourage supply and improve quality through partnership working and we consider local council housebuilding as fundamental to growth in housing supply.
These practitioner panels draw on the experience of a range of specialist Housing Forum members in areas of viability, procurement, quality and MMC and support the exchange of knowledge among local councils.
Councils from Adur & Worthing, Brighton & Hove, Bristol, Chichester, Fareham, Isle of Wight, New Forest, Southampton, Warwick and Winchester attended this panel. A panel was held in Stoke on Trent in July and and further panels nationwide are planned.
