The Housing Forum & Pollard Thomas Edwards Innovation Forum – Marleigh, Cambridge
Marleigh is a 180-acre site next to Cambridge Airport which will become a new urban village and eastern expansion to the city, providing 1,300 homes, primary school, local shops and a country park – plus a new business park focused on motor showrooms.
Sustainable design principles have been used throughout the development – meeting Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and BREEAM excellent. Within the first phase, 5 Passivhaus Plus homes are being built and monitored with the Active Building Centre.
The project is a joint venture between housebuilder Hill and local landowner, Marshall Group. The design team for the masterplan, Design Code and Phase 1 (547 homes) are architect Pollard Thomas Edwards, working with landscape architect Robert Myers and artist Matthew Lane-Sanderson
