Bio Diversity Net Gain and the 10% Uplift
Biodiversity Net Gain came into force in February 2024 (and in April 2024 for small sites), meaning that new housing developments need to either achieve a 10% uplift in biodiversity on site, or pay for offsetting credits so that improved biodiversity can be delivered elsewhere. The details on how biodiversity is to be assessed have been emerging over the last few months since we last visited this topic in June 2023. This webinar will update attendees on what they should be thinking about when buying sites, designing and building housing to ensure they can achieve the required uplift.
Dr Nick White, Principal Advisor – Net Gain, Natural England will give us Natural England’s perspective while Rachel Danemann, Regional Planning Manager, The Home Builders Federation, will give us their perspective.
