HTA Design supported Countryside Partnerships in bidding for the project, which will provide 50 per cent affordable housing
Countryside Partnerships has been chosen by Goram Homes, Bristol City Council’s housing company, as their partner to develop Hengrove Park in Bristol in collaboration with HTA Design.
Countryside and Goram Homes have formed a 50/50 joint venture to deliver the major site, which will provide 1,400 homes, including 50 per cent affordable housing.
Located on the former Whitchurch Airport site, Hengrove Park will also provide a new 22-hectare public park.
A new energy centre containing air source heat pumps will be developed, connecting the new homes and surrounding businesses to low-carbon heating and hot water through a district heating network. The energy efficient homes are designed to meet EPC A standards, helping to lower energy bills for residents.
Work is expected to commence next year, subject to planning approval.
Hengrove Park is the second development in Bristol by Countryside and Goram Homes. Construction work for One Lockleaze, a development of 268 new homes, is already under way.
