The Housing Forum, Countryside Partnerships, Enfield Council and HTA Design LLP focus on: The Value of Diversity in Design and Delivery.
The event showcased Meridian One, the first phase of the 25-year Meridian Water regeneration programme located in Enfield – executing on equality, diversity and inclusion through the development process to the finished result.
Meridian One is created by Countryside Partnerships and HTA Design LLP with Enfield Council as a gateway to the 10,000 acre Lee Valley Regional Park, delivering up to 1,000 new mixed tenure homes, the Meridian Skills Academy, community gardens, a new station square and shopping and leisure facilities. The ambition of the development is to create a vibrant place that people love, built on three pillars that re-imagine London life: park life on the doorstep, a place to make and create and animating streets.
The theme of the application of diversity in the process ran throughout the event, as presentations and panel discussions focused on community engagement, procurement and construction.
Lessons learned and new approaches were shared, with respect to their impact and ways forward that the sector can draw from as it continues to transform and redevelop the landscape of housing in the UK.
