Naomi has over 10 years of experience in the housing sector, starting work in supported housing at 18 years old. Naomi’s initial experiences with vulnerable adults and rough sleepers led to her launching the Country’s first No First Night Out service. Following her work in the supported housing sector, Naomi supported the National Practitioner Support Service to work with Council’s across the Country getting them ready for the implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act (2017). This experience involved delivering training, supporting re-design work, developing strategy and policy across the UK. Since then, Naomi has worked in Local Authorities in London, Worcestershire and Birmingham, giving her a unique experience of operating in both large urban authorities as well as smaller rural organisations. Naomi’s current role is Head of Strategic Enabling at Birmingham City Council, the largest Local Authority housing provider in Europe. She is responsible for managing and delivering multiple strategic projects across the housing landscape to improve options for residents in the city.
