Helen Rieman, Business Growth Director at Wates Residential, is at the forefront of the Wates’ ambitious growth strategy.

Wates Residential works in partnerships with public-sector bodies to deliver quality new homes within developments underpinned by place-making and healthy homes principles. Their schemes are driven by teams who have a razor focus across a range of outputs, including the highest level of affordable housing, financial returns, and driving forward the sustainability agenda. Wates Residential pledges to reduce both embodied and operational carbon by utilising modern technologies, with the ultimate goal of reducing operational costs for residents.

With a background in residential regeneration and affordable housing, Helen established partnerships within the Developments Group before joining the Wates Residential Board. As the founding Wates Partnerships Director, she played a key role in shaping business strategy, building a strong team, and launching new national joint venture deals.

Helen also serves on the board of The Housing Forum, the only cross-sector, industry-wide organisation representing the entire housing supply chain. Her expertise and dedication to healthy homes principles are vital in shaping The Housing Forum’s policy and practice.

In addition, Helen is Wates’ lead sponsor for Opportunity London, an initiative that unites all levels of London’s government with industry support, facilitating investment across the capital.

Helen also represents Wates as the lead for Radix Big Tent, a progressive think tank endorsed by prominent figures such as Dame Kate Barker.
