Local Councils Practitioner panels are a workstream from The Housing Forum for local councils to help accelerate building plans, strengthen housing construction industry knowledge and support council delivery through both direct commissioning and partnerships.
The Housing Forum’s purpose is to encourage supply and improve quality through partnership working and it considers local council housebuilding as fundamental to growth in housing supply.
These practitioner panels draw on the experience of a range of specialist Housing Forum members in areas of viability, procurement, quality and MMC and support the exchange of knowledge among local councils.
Over 20 councils from the Staffordshire, Cheshire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Shropshire and Midlands areas attended this panel and further panels nationwide are planned.
