Lord Kerslake has died after a short battle with cancer
The Housing Forum is saddened to hear of the death of Lord Kerslake, known to so many in housing. He was involved directly with us at The Housing Forum and, as a founding board member, we benefited from his wisdom and generosity in sharing insights.
Just last November our Futures Network had the privilege of hearing first hand his invaluable reflections on a career in public service – pictured above.
Lord Kerslake was very active across the whole of the housing sector, and one of his many roles was Chair of Peabody.
In a statement released on Monday 2 July, Ian McDermott, Peabody chief executive, said: “Everyone who knew Bob was truly inspired by his exceptional talent, strong work ethic, and above all, his humanity and kindness to everyone he met. He was a remarkable individual who worked tirelessly to improve people’s lives and to stand up for what is right. His absence will be deeply felt across Peabody, as well as in the sector and public life in general.”
