The City Park West scheme in Essex includes more than 600 homes

Architects firm Pollard Thomas Edwards has won a RIBA awards for its mixed-use urban quarter in central Chelmsford.

Designed for social housing client, Notting Hill Genesis, the RIBA judges described City Park West as “an impressively ambitious redevelopment of a city centre brownfield site”.

City Park West has been developed in two phases by THF members Bouygues (Phase 1) and Higgins (Phase 2). The scheme has brought nearly 650 new homes to Chelmsford town centre, including shared ownership, market rent and affordable extra care units.
