About Resisure

Resisure is an advanced technological solution designed to improve living standards for tenants across the UK. Our Resisure monitoring platform enables landlords, property management companies and social housing providers to gather real-time property data which in turn can help build a high-quality living environment for tenants. With these insights, we’re able to encourage strong and transparent relationships between owners and renters whilst also safeguarding both tenant and property.

The idea of Resisure was born out of a need for clarity and reform. The challenges that serious damp and mould cause across UK homes are nothing new but unfortunately, they’re persisting. Only recently, in December 2020, two-year-old Awaab Ishak passed away due to excessive mould in their home, a tragedy that was entirely preventable and demonstrated the need for strong and rapid action to combat unacceptable living conditions.

Since then, the Government has pledged to review landlord guidance around damp and mould whilst also passing Awaab’s Law. Introduced in the Social Housing Regulation Act in 2023, this law ‘requires landlords to investigate and fix reported health hazards within specified timeframes’.

Resisure is a direct solution for identifying and preventing these potential health hazards. The innovative design and advanced technology of the platform mean we’re able to monitor air quality and identify the underlying causes of damp and mould before they become serious. With analytics automatically captured every 30 minutes, this information is analysed in our data centre and relayed to the property owner and if potential issues arise, preventative measures can be undertaken. With Resisure, we’re not simply highlighting the symptoms of ongoing mould and damp, we’re identifying it before it can happen.

As property professionals, parents and homeowners, the team at Resisure experienced first-hand the devastation that damp and mould cause and we knew there had to be a better option than simply treating the symptoms. We believe that everyone has the right to live in a safe rental property and that tragic events – like the death of Awaab Ishak – should never be allowed to happen again. This is why we’re committed to reducing the impact that damp and mould has on households across the UK.

As more legislation is introduced around damp and mould, our mission is to be the number one choice for landlords, social housing providers and property management companies when it comes to diagnosing damp and mould issues. We want to ensure that the right preventative measures are undertaken to create a safer, brighter and more positive future for the property industry.

That said, we don’t want to stop there. The property industry is open to many kinds of vulnerabilities and there’s potential for Resisure to go one step further – fuel poverty, underheating, ventilation issues, heat loss, air quality, and building defects are all challenges that tenants and landlords alike face. Our long-term goal is to gather the data behind these challenges and help create lasting solutions to all these problems.
