The Housing Forum Feature:

‘The Route Map for New Home Delivery’ and ‘What is the future of high-rise housing?’

The Housing Forum’s Futures Network, drawn from our member organisations will be giving a presentation on progress of their ‘The Route Map for  New Home Delivery ‘ – an essential guide to housing development covering all stages from project inception to occupancy. We will also be covering the wider experiences of The Futures Network and next steps.

The second part of the morning will feature the latest report from Pollard Thomas Edwards and contributors including June Barnes, Dickon Robinson and Kath Scanlon. This latest report ‘What is the future of high-rise housing? ’ poses the critical issue of the increasing maintenance and management costs of high rise housing. In considering the future of high-rise housing, leaseholders rights and responsibilities should be protected and understood; high-rise should be build as good quality housing for the long term and high density living should come with adequate social infrastructure and public open space.
