The Housing Forum’s Housing Partnership Summits (formerly known as Development Partnership Forums) are a series of collaborative events aimed at addressing critical housing challenges across the UK through regional focus and expert partnerships.
The summits aim to bring together housing providers, councils, developers, sustainability experts, and investors to explore strategies for delivering quality homes, tackling environmental challenges, and responding to the unique needs of different regions.
On 06/02/2024, our first Housing Partnership Summit of the year will be hosted by Newlon, who will be showcasing the The Ashburton Triangle housing project in the Highbury area of London, adjacent to the Emirates Stadium. Originally part of the Arsenal Stadium’s redevelopment, it includes residential apartments designed in collaboration with Arsenal Football Club to create affordable housing in Islington.
Recently, the Ashburton Triangle has undergone significant renovations to address long-standing issues with the building’s cladding and fire safety measures. Investigations revealed that the fireproofing was insufficient in areas, with some materials not meeting updated safety standards. Newlon Housing Trust has since collaborated with safety and engineering consultants to upgrade the building envelope with non-combustible materials and improve insulation, which will enhance both fire safety and energy efficiency for residents. This approach has also been part of Newlon’s broader mission to support safe, affordable housing, as demonstrated in other London projects they have championed
More details about the programme will be published soon, but its not too early to secure your spot!
These events are free to members of The Housing Forum.
