Housing Development - Silentium

Southdale is a national construction and development specialist providing new build, planned maintenance and refurbishment services to our range of public and private sector customers. We currently deliver a range of tailored solutions to housing associations and local authorities including land sourcing with various funding models, sustainable building techniques, community regeneration and retrofit/renewal expertise which helps prolong the life of existing buildings.

The company was formed in 1988 consisting of a handful of staff based at our Head Office in Halifax. We now employ more than 180 people and operate from a network of four regional centres, servicing customers in Yorkshire and the Humber, the North West, North East and the Midlands. Our steady expansion over the last 20 years has meant we have been able to develop relationships with more than 60 Registered Providers and Local Authorities and are now appointed to a growing list of 14 regional Frameworks which has seen us develop 600 new homes and refurbish 150 existing properties in the last 12 months.

With our annual turnover now in excess of £67m, Southdale is underway with an ambitious growth strategy which will see us develop new product mixes, diversify into other markets and expand into new regions in an effort to preserve our future in a challenging economic climate.

In addition to this, we are committed to strengthening our relationships with supply chain partners including sub-contractors and manufacturers who ensure we are able to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely services to customers in order to meet their procurement objectives.

Our current projects include a range of mixed tenure housing developments, extra care schemes for the elderly, medical centres and properties for vulnerable clients.

Southdale also operate a private speculative house building division known as Circa Homes which enable us to offer true mixed tenure developments for our public sector clients. Our experience and understanding of the needs and aspirations of home buyers led to the creation of a contemporary and high quality house types which are targeted at a range of consumers within strategic locations across our four regions.
