Hexagon Housing Association Limited

Hexagon is an innovative and responsive Housing Association working in partnership with a range of local authorities to meet housing and care needs across South East London. With a turnover of £20.1m and 189 staff, Hexagon is continually improving the quality and range of our affordable homes and services.

As an organisation we are concerned with people, their homes and communities. We make good quality, affordable housing and services available to people in South East London, and work to extend opportunities and improve the neighbourhoods they live in. With over 3,600 homes for rent we offer more housing choices in areas of high demand. We are an HCA Investment partner building new homes and have secured an allocation for the 2011/15 Affordable Housing programme.

We were recently successful in securing a ‘Highly Commended’ Award for in the category of Best New Affordable Development (small developers) for our Falcon Works scheme. This latest award for Falcon Works comes on the back of securing a Gold Standard Award from Building For Life, and being promoted by Southwark as one of its’ flagship schemes.

Hexagon was also awarded bronze in the highly challenging SHIFT Index, a sustainability benchmark for housing associations. Companies signing up to be assessed by the SHIFT Index, commit themselves to being measured against a challenging set of targets for reduced carbon emissions, designed to mitigate against climate change and a broad range of environmental impacts. Andrew Eagles, Managing Director of Sustainable Homes, secretariat of SHIFT stated “SHIFT provides an independent assessment of sustainability. By having this assessment Hexagon Housing Group is standing head and shoulders above the rest of the sector. They are illustrating how seriously they take the issues of adaptation and mitigation of climate change”.

Like all housing associations Hexagon is a not-for-profit organisation and is regulated by the Tenant Services Authority.

Why we joined the Housing Forum

We have been members of the Forum since it was formed.
Through our involvement in various working groups we feel we have been able to make a real contribution to ensuring the crucial issues facing the housing industry and affordable housing providers in particular, are represented.
The conferences provide us with a great opportunity to network and to hear from some of the leading voices in the industry.
