The scheme is a development on Lambeth land for Metropolitan Housing Trust and creates new sustainable, affordable homes for local people in housing need. The houses achieve ECO homes excellent and it is the second FSC Labelled housing scheme in the UK. The team was asked to work on the project by Metropolitan Housing Trust following on from the success of Boatemah Walk which was the first FSC labelled building in the UK

This project was part of the Construction Legacy - Housing programme which sought to map approaches to the delivery of training and apprenticeships in the housing and regeneration sectors. The Housing Forum programme worked with 36 active Demonstration Projects in England and Wales. Up until March 2010, The Construction Legacy - Housing programme operated as a partnership between The Housing Forum and ConstructionSkills.

Cross Street

Cross Street South in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton is a new build housing scheme providing 30 homes for rent comprising of 27, two-bedroomed flats and 3, four-bedroomed houses. Wolverhampton City Council, the owner of the site, sought a Housing Association partner to develop a highly sustainable and innovative housing scheme.
