The Project consisted of the demolition of 2 tower blocks, the relocation of a substation and the construction of 82 1 and 2 bed flats with 10 bungalows for extra care frail elderly residents using timber frame/steel frame construction. There was also a central core unit for both residential and community-use incorporating a health spa, steam room, gym, a restaurant, bar with function room, treatment facilities and assisted bathing facilities along with staff accommodation and a main office. The scheme was landscaped with car park facilities, 8 garages, patio areas and drying areas.

Fieldways - Zero Carbon House

In December 2006 the Government announced its intention to make the UK the World's first 'Zero Carbon' economy to help reduce the impact of climate change and set an example to the rest of the World. This was in response to the Stern Report, 'The Economics of Climate Change', which explains that the more we do now to mitigate the effects of climate change the less our economies will be affected in future.

Grove Village
