Mick has devoted his working life to service in the Housing Association world. A Chartered Surveyor and fellow of the CIH, he joined London-based Circle 33 HA in 1976, moved to UHAT and Mosscare HA's in NW England, before becoming Chief Executive of Midlands-based Bromford in 1984. Since then, Bromford has grown from managing 1,000 to 26,000 homes, winning a national reputation as a customer-focussed high performer, a top employer, a leading developer of new housing and a major provider of social care.
Mick's particular passion is leadership excellence - for 15 years he has participated in the Vistage International Leadership programme for CEO's and in 2004 completed the Harvard Business School strategic leadership programme. In 2006 Mick set up Bromford's Living Leadership Academy and he regularly coaches other leaders outside Bromford.
Mick holds Board positions with the National Housing Federation as well as the Housing Forum (Deputy Chair) and Housemark (Chair).
